Time to admit it: I'm probably trading one "addiction" for another. Last year, the addiction that I traded was smoking for the ever-popular Farmville. When I tell people that Farmville helped me quit smoking, they usually give me one of "those" looks...yeah, ok, right. I did Farmtown too -- yes, I had two lovely farms. Actually, there were three farms because Farmtown had a second farm that supported my other farm.
Why did I need to support one farm with another farm? Because I turned one of the farms into a beach community...I mean, what else do you do with an extra farm? But this really isn't about farming...this is about trading "addictions." Notice, of course, the quotations. I think that means that I don't really think it's an addiction but it probably is.
Anyway, I might be trading Farmville for something new: Netflix on Wii. This is set up in my basement where I have my gym equipment from when I used to be a gym owner. Hey, that's a good thing. My current viewing pleasure is picking up where I left off with Nip Tuck. Holy Moly. How did they get away with putting that show on tv? I almost have to stop myself from working out...I'm transfixed. Not a bad trade-off, I think. Farmville for Netflix.
Now to the point of this blog (for me). Today was Day 4 of the diet. Once in a while I have a craving for chocolate, but other than that, this is not bad. I already feel that my jeans are not spray-painted to my butt and there's actually room for simple things, like breathing.
(There are a lot of butt shots on Nip Tuck.)
Today's workout: 1 mile with the dogs, 3 miles on the treadmill.
I have to check out my mileage. Let me know how you're doing.
Tomorrow's Wednesday ! Will there be snow for the weekend?
14 miles down, 86 to go.
